About Us

As I was contemplating ways to bring all the senses to bear in our home as we observe the seasons of the Church Year, I thought of candles. I wanted something tangible, like a candle, that would fill our home with certain scents during certain seasons. I also wanted to be sure that anything I brought into our home - while it helped turn our hearts and minds towards good - would not harm our bodies. I wanted candles that would be non-toxic and high quality.

Never one to be put off by learning a new skill, I began to research how to make candles. I quickly realized that there was more behind a good candle than I had at first thought. After diving in deep, it suddenly occurred to me, "Why not make these available to others?"

Thus Day Unto Day Candle Company was born. I chose the name from Psalm 19 "The heaven's declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork. Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge. There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard." Psalm 19:1-3

I wanted a candle company that celebrates the glory and faithfulness of God as seen in the rhythms of nature, the observance of the Liturgical seasons, and the everyday beauty of an ordinary life lived for Him. "For from him and through him and for him are all things. To him be the glory forever! Amen." Romans 11:36

Blessings in Christ,

Ashley
